Doing testing on a process. Had no idea that it was running this long. Now thinking I have to look forward to optimizations for scaling.

Listening to Planet Money Episode 509 and was unsurprised to find that the people who actually have the data have found that a CS degree has zero impact on your success as a programming hire.

I keep finding things written by people with Computer Science degrees that rock with less than 1000 records.. and fail at 100,000. I blame their teachers whome have never worked outside of academic examples. Omar recently tasked a UTC Comp-Sci teacher about such examples and the teacher DID understand those issues, and was pleasantly surprised that the teacher understood them and was going to address them if the class kept up with the basics. Which brings up the reason you want to go the "hard to get into" schools: your fellow students abilities can very important to the education you are paying for.
