Recalled nut butters

To check when I get home: nSPIRED Natural Foods, Inc. Voluntarily Recalls Certain Retail Lots Of Arrowhead Mills® Peanut Butters, Maranatha® Almond Butters And Peanut Butters And Specific Private Label Nut Butters Because Of Possible Health Risk. The private label brands include Trader Joe's and Whole Foods 365.

Also note that Arrowhead Mills, Maranatha, Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Safeway Open Nature, and Kroeger's house brand are all the same thing. Hmmm...

When I used to have to review FDA recalls years ago, I'd see the same thing. Sometimes the actual product is slightly different (ingredient/recipe/ratios), but they all come off the same assembly line.

I visited a potato chip factory as a kid owned by a distant family member near New Orleans. His variables where quality/source of potatoes, thickness, oil and seasoning. The cheap chips where made at the end of the day on the end of the day/batch oils. I thought they tasted better ;) They had foil bags for several major name brands, and a bunch of cheap local brands. All from the same place.
