Actually makes the Internet of Things look interesting: Keen Home smart vent lets you customize heating in individual rooms. The company is Keen Home, it's unclear to me how the vent integrates with thermostats, but looks like a good way to retrofit zoned heat control.

EcoVent is similar but the temperature monitor is a separate unit. The pricing is kind of high (but cheap compared to retrofitting a real zoned system).
