NHTSA begins V2V rulemaking

U.S. DOT advances deployment of Connected Vehicle Technology to prevent hundreds of thousands of crashes .

For so many reasons, I remain skeptical. And suspect this is premature.

So the DOT is going to mandate an intrusion method to assist in hacking a car's control system?
