Yeah, I need to replace the kitchen fan, but it's got a form-factor that I can't find, and I haven't wanted to spend the day fucking around with re-framing the area that holds it and ducting it to the existing chimney.

Sounds like you ought to replace your oven hood with one that actually vents outside.
