These may be too large, but I've had this idea for cuff links for a while now...

Take two, smaller, and I had an extra little snippet of ebony so I carved it into a dowel, drilled out the center, and put a ring around the brass (for scale, the ebony circule is a ¼" hole:

Had to tell the scale for sure from here, and seldom wearing long sleeves, cuff links are way down on my list, but those are sharp-looking. Should even look good as the purpleheart ages to brown.
