Why the GOV.UK Design System team changed the input type for numbers
However, we recently moved away from <input type=”number”> to <input type=”text” inputmode=”numeric” pattern="[0-9]*"> and published new guidance on how to ask users for numbers.

Yeah, I’m using Safari (with 1Blocker installed and active) on iOS.
One of these days I’ll get OpenBSD running on my PineBook Pro, but not today...

Sigh. All I got was a "this site uses cookies" thing that popped over the page and wouldn’t go away.
