Today I learned about Carl Braden, charged in 1954 with "sedition" for helping a Black family buy a house in a white Kentucky neighborhood. Might have to put Anne Braden's "The Wall Between" on the reading queue. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carl_Braden
