A friend who drove a Tesla from the Bay Area to see the eclipse in Texas said that there were “numerous failures, both electrical and software” in the supercharger network when everyone tried to head home after the eclipse, and guessed that Elon had thrown a temper-tantrum and fired the entire supercharger team because of the problems.
