We got sucked in to Finding Mr Christmas, and because of that have watched a few Hallmark movies. Last night we both said "anything but", and Charlene found Blaze, an Ethan Hawke directed biopic of sorts about dinner songwriter Blaze Foley, and it was a challenging watch, but I think worth it.

And the reflection of writer Sybil Rosen in the portrayal was a good counter to and exploration of the forced women's roles that the Hallmark genre leans so heavily on.
