I have been watching the age verification laws push through, and wondering who's the force behind it. This moderated Reddit post, visible on Archive.org, with data on Github, points the finger strongly at Meta.

Oh very interesting. Here's a Reddit thread from aaronsb (a different user) tracking similar language, but I'm definitely needing to adapt to a new world of slop powered misinfo. I've let a few things slip on to the front page of Flutterby lately that I'm wondering deeply about.
