Flutterby™! : Larry Harvey misses the point

I love Burning Man. But I fear that the Burning Man organization has lost the fire that makes that space what it is. Notably, Larry Harvey's article on the Jiffy Lube incident says "Earlier, I suggested that a 12 foot pornographic sign would be removed in very short order if it were placed on a residential street in San Francisco". Well, that sign was at the Folsom Street Fair. It's a shame that in the rush to turn Black Rock City into Pepeland the core of what makes that town so beautiful is getting marginalized. Time to start thinking about things to do for next year, a big copy of the Bill of Rights along the front of our camp seems like a good start.
