Finished David M. Friedman's A Mind of Its Own: A Cultural History of the Penis. Initially I was disappointed that it lacked footnoting and references, but once I got to the end I realized that rather than cluttering up the text with superscripts the bibliography referred back into the text. So I feel a lot better about the scholarship of it. The chapter on '70s feminism was worth the price of admission, the rest of the book was quite interesting, although it didn't grab me terribly hard. I'll try to remember to go back and write a real review in the next few days.
