Goats Point

[Goat Point]After the intense lightning storms and winds of Sunday, it was good to get out. Sharp eyed folks may recognize 300,000,000 tax dollars on the left of that photo. By the way, if you're itching to get a similar photo, Goat's Point Road is NOT a 4WD optional road. Folks are very serious about their 4WD vehicles in this area.

And the road around the reservoir on Raccoon Mountain is the first place I ever got an inline skate brake pouring smoke; which I was concerned about, until I heard the doppler shift in Catherine's voice as she lost the battle between brake and asphalt. Luckily there was no road rash that day, but there were some scary moments.

Wonderfully flat place to log the miles, except for that one hill...

Damn, fall colors. Yer makin' me homesick.
