I know Flutterby isn't a random sample, and a lot of us have issues around our butts, but I'll bet more folks than you'd guess would try something like that.
What I found most instructive about an experience with a strap-on is just how much it changed my technique. There were more than two moments of "that's really annoy... oh, wait, I do that"...

i read the article "i mocked it for science"...i don't think i know of any straight men that would do something like that. i did get a good chuckle while reading the article. i admire the woman, kat, for her no nonsense attitude while helping grant to get his "new experience". if it had been me instead of her? i would have been worthless as help due to laughing too hard! and i'm not sure that i would go that far for my job. we live in a strange world at times.
