I've been wondering recently about that rush of coolness we felt back in 1993, that a world of other cool people had opened up and we were suddenly having conversations with folks and about perspectives that we just didn't know existed in our sheltered little worlds. Okay, maybe it wasn't like that for everybody, but it's part of why I got so excited about the internet.
