I do love Hakone Gardens, haven't been up there for a while, hmm, good excuse to drag Kid With Camera on a field trip someday soon... Sorry I wasn't home on Sat. when you called: I was at KOLcon Carne. (Yes, picture a 50-year-old woman at a Kingdom of Loathing LARP, dressed up in fake furry pants with purple argyle socks, a saucepan on her head, limes draped around her neck, and a blue Orca mit on her left hand, adventuring around a hotel for containers of ramen noodles, tabasco sauce, tiny bottles of vodka, and pieces of suspicious phone numbers, completing quests involving convincing a drunk bartender that she'd fallen in love with a fellow player and writing a 100-word essay on why punctuation, spelling, and grammar are important (using perfect punctuation, spelling, and grammar, of course). It was, well... a unique experience. So sorry I missed you, but I was busy being decorated with silly string and eating olives.)
