As I've thought about this a little bit more, I've started wondering what's the difference between buying stock in this entity, and handing money over to a mutual fund? There are some specifics about compensation for the managers, but in general it's roughly the same thing: I've no idea what to do with this money, so, here, you manage it.

I made a few comments back when it happened. At that time, Acquicor's website had a completely empty front page. It existed, but gave no sign of what it was.

Woot! That's beautiful. I have long proposed that the SEC has had a negative influence on our society because it overly protects stupid people, but then something like this comes along and restores my faith.
