Oh yeah: I haven't done a full write-up on this one 'cause I'm not sure what I'd say, but: Neil Gaiman's Anansi Boys: If you liked American Gods (I did, Larry did), this one's a must-read. If you haven't read either, it's in paper, and well worth the few hours it'll take to get through it.
And as an aside: Another "I don't have time for this", but I want a search engine that gives me a list of all of the mentions of "American Gods" on weblogs I read. Sigh: Something else to add to the "someday I'll write code to..." list.

On the Mac, History Hound will search through
every web page you've read. I find it useful for the "where the heck did I see that" searches, since even if
the page isn't in my history/cache anymore, it'll at least tell me what website I saw it on, and then I can
use that on google (e.g. "American Gods" site:flutterby.com into google's search field) to find the page in
the archives.
On other Unices, I'd set up a squid proxy with a search. There are a couple different solutions I looked at,
but I don't remember the names. No idea what exists on Windows.

I thought for sure that I had written a review of this book, but, yeah, what Dan said. This is another romp through folk tales, religion and whimsy. If you liked American Gods you will like this one too.

they detract from the conversation. Commercial plugs are fine,
if they are relevant to the conversation, and if you don't

if you're lucky, if you're not a whole bunch of people smarter and
more articulate than you will ridicule you, and we will leave
such ridicule in place.
