Nancy would have loved the Cinderella Motel, just on principle. we enjoy finding nice "mom and pop" hotels with a homey touch. I can usually tell by the attitude and appearance of the reservation desk. Smell says a lot, and I've even identified what I call a 'good' curry smell, as opposed to a 'bad' curry smell. But slightly eclectic touches are a sign of a sense of humor, and that someone cares just a little beyond normal.
