Dynamically balancing walking humanoid robot - Sure walks and moves differently from Asimo and others I've seen. Much more fluid.
I grew up readng I Robot and other sci-fi robot stories, it's a fascination of mine. I wish the reportedly 3-4 guys at Anybots much success.

Seems to me that the dynamic balance would be even more lifelike (and perhaps easier) if the bot had arms.

Anybots is the brainchild of Trevor Blackwell, whom you might know as the guy who build his own Segway clone, as well as his own dynamically balancing unicycle.

I met him at Hacker's a few years ago, and got to ride it. He's a really interesting guy. I knew he was working on making walking robots, it seems he is meeting with a measure of success.
