Huh. At some point, I put "<meta name="geo.*"" tags into the HTML on my blog.
That some point was apparently over 20 years ago.
Anyway, don't know if I should update it, or remove it.

I too have such metadata on my blog, but also Dublin Core, TGN, OGP, Twitter and some stuff I made up. I also have a bunch of <link> tags a client could use to generate a menu bar (and I used to have a Firefox extension, but of course they change how extensions work every few years). I don't think it gets much use, but hey, it's cheap enough to keep around.
We will not edit your comments. However, we may delete your
comments, or cause them to be hidden behind another link, if we feel
they detract from the conversation. Commercial plugs are fine,
if they are relevant to the conversation, and if you don't
try to pretend to be a consumer. Annoying endorsements will be deleted
if you're lucky, if you're not a whole bunch of people smarter and
more articulate than you will ridicule you, and we will leave
such ridicule in place.
