I agree, but then I've also been heard to endorse abortion up through the 55th trimester, so my judgment doesn't match the mainstream opinion.

I am not so sure that it is not mainstream opinion. Anyone who has had children has undoubtedly pondered the simplification of life that a retroactive abortion would bring about.

There are kids who are absolute monsters, but you usually can look upstream as to the cause. A lot of "kids" are having kids. Making babies is serious business. The tragedy is that in a lot of cases they are an unintended byproduct of an irresponsible approach to sex.
