well look at some good examples: Santa Claus.......now who wouldn't trust him? Hemingway is another, Moses had a beard in all the photos I have seen, and he sold the Ten Commandments.

When I was still "in the job market" I shaved when looking for a job, so I'd appear younger, then grew the beard back to appear older and "sager". I didn't know that "research" would bear out what I intuited.
