Why is it difficult to introduce efficiencies into the transportation system? Stuff like this: Police Ticketing Informal Rideshare Participants Based On No Law, But To Protect Port Authority Revenue.

Tickets without a legal base are quite common. Few people will undergo the expense of fighting them, and just pay them. Until there is a significant cost to the State for such ridiculous actions, this behavior will continue.

In a recent example in Cincinnati, a man was ticketed for using the word crippled to help promote a comedian with muscular dystrophy. Not easy to believe.

Wow. Uh, hey, Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber? Yeah, this makes me nervous about visiting your city. And I do end up in Ohio fairly regularly.
