That boards are choosing CEOs who can't understand why prayer and fasting didn't save their sinking company, and same former Intel CEO then getting investment money to build AI to hasten the Second Coming, says pretty much everything about modern tech culture...

I was working at Intel when Gelsinger came on as CEO, and from what I could see he had a good plan to shore the company up and sustain it over the long term. I was shocked when the board fired him - it didn't seem like they'd given him enough time to do the job. "Intel is cooked", I concluded. But AI Jesus is what he's doing now? *Wow*. Maybe the board saw something up close which was not visible to those of us in the trenches.
