"Dad sues over daughter's ecstasy death" screams the headline. A careful reading reveals that Brandy French died of dehydration, stated more plainly in an even more alarmist linking to all the anti-drug sites story. If you want to save lives, how about a "teens: piss clear" ad campaign? Time to send some bucks off to Dance Safe.

Ecstasy is lethal like riding a motorcycle is lethal - sure, it's a risk you don't have to take, but it's the inattentive driver in the wrong lane that kills you, not the bike. You're more likely to be killed by a drunk driver on your way home from a party than by the pill you took while you were there.
But this is the drug war, and that's the mass media.
