John Marcotte, author of the 2010 California Protection of Marriage Act, talks to Rob Cockerham of Cockeyed.com. I can't tell if Marcotte is a straight-faced satirist or legit and serious. I don't suppose it matters, because I think the end result is the same...

I've read the site and laughed heartily. I've also become a member of their org on facebook so I'd be able to enjoy the discussions further. Sounds like a novel idea.. separating church and state.

I initially found myself wondering if he was a shill for Vegas and Reno tourism. Can't divorce in CA? Make
a little trip across the border...
Then I just decided it's funny no matter his motives.

Hey, this has its upside. There could be a remake of "Divorce Italian Style" as "Divorce California Style."

That's satire and I like it.

Yeah, http://rescuemarriage.org/ is riding that same line, enough so that I'd consider signing the petition just to get people riled...

Maybe I'm being too naive, but it reads like satire to me - especially as it gets further into the interview.
We will not edit your comments. However, we may delete your

they detract from the conversation. Commercial plugs are fine,
if they are relevant to the conversation, and if you don't

if you're lucky, if you're not a whole bunch of people smarter and
more articulate than you will ridicule you, and we will leave
such ridicule in place.
