Next time you need a truly transcendental dish to impress your guests, try this one: Aleister Crowley's recipe for Rice Pilaf. Apparently the step about drizzling the sauce over a naked virgin was left out.

Anyone else unsure if he's talking about rice in that "best 5-7 years old" comment?

Though I do like the poetry of

Stir until all is uniform, a clear golden color, with the green pistachio nuts making it a Poem of Spring.

Does look good, though, I may have to try making it.
