For the U.S. government:
- Why did some 3 million people have access to much if not most of the diplomatic trove? That's hardly keeping things confidential.

And this is why I have trouble getting up in arms over anything Assinger has done. Condemning him for publishing these cables is like arresting someone for taking pictures from the street of an open window at a whore house with a cell phone and sending those pictures to one's buddies. If you don't want this stuff made public quit walking around naked with the shades all up.
