Julie writes:

In a rare S.F. appearance, the Dead Kennedys - with Brandon Cruz instead of Mr. Biafra - will be performing Thursday Nov. 21 at Studio Z - The Transmission under new ownership. They play with Fear (for any of you L.A. fans.)

I think that, ignoring the tales of attitude about Jello hanging out in Gilman, if one merely looks at the living situations of the working touring musicians versus Jello chilling in his cush digs, it's not a big leap to think that perhaps the version told by the remaining DKs is closer to reality. My sympathies tend to lie on the anti-Biafra side.

So, good on yer, East Bay Ray & company.

From AT News:

10/15/02: East Bay Ray and Co. Sue Jello Again

True to the spirit and vision of Dead Kennedys (ho ho ho) East Bay Ray and Co. have filed a new lawsuit against Jello Biafra claiming he is interfering with their ability to profiteer off of Dead Kennedys.

Wow! So is Jello out of town that day? Could get interesting. Saw Lee Ving a while back do an acoustic set (very bizarre).

In other concert/entertainment news:

Last week went to opening of Out On Film festival to see John Waters and Female Trouble...entertaining night

Also, Monday saw The Residents in what's "rumoured" to be their last tour ever...well...maybe...was a very suave event!
