Romanian Gymnasts nude

2002-12-20 23:59:44+01 by Dan Lyke 7 comments

Romanian Gymnasts banned for performing nude. Ummm... This seems like it might warrant further research. Anyone out there read enough Japanese to order the DVDs from K-Netwk? ("he asked, with only a hint of a leer")

Unfortunately, I don't have a good answer to your first question. It's something I struggle with daily (and even more so at the moment, unfortunately). So far, my answer has been to simply lead by example and discussion.

So how can I add my voice to the dissenters? To say not only "this is acceptable" but "I'd like to see more of this in my culture"?

Unrelatedly, I finally broke down and got a DVD player this weekend. Wasn't there a "we'll buy it in Japan and ship it to you" company somewhere on the web?

This has been bouncing back and forth for a couple of weeks now (sorry I didn't report it). The latest is that they have been banned for 5 years from Romanian gymnastics (warning: auto-refreshing page) and one of them has now quit her coaching/teaching job.

To be fair.. we need nudish-guy gymnists as well.. but who hasn't watched ice skating or gymnastics and had a little sexual excitement go through their heads?

Whoops, looks like they won't be banned after all.
