aka 'The BirdHouse' - Surreal architecture buily by a British eccentric in the mountains of Mexico.
It's worth clicking on one of these images and looking at the rest of the pictures
in that folder. - It was built to be a rich man's garden, he died, and it has become a tourist attraction even as the jungle reclaims the land.

Reality is much stranger than fiction.

If I saw that place in a movie, I wouldn't believe it for a moment.

There was and is a residence, but it was not open to the public.
The builder had really lived in town (Xilitlia) in what is know as 'the castle',
which was now a Bed and Breakfast. It was full up..
As for taking a road trip.. I'd go back in a minute, although I'd like to brush up on my spanish (mexican style) first. They make very little effort to be multi-lingual there.

Cool! Was there a residence in there, or was it all just garden with staircases to nowhere?
Dang, between that and the waterfalls I'm seriously wanting to take a road trip.
