The same George who passed me the source for that entry on La Ribot gave me a pointer to a newsblip on the Swatch Bunny Sutra.
Hmmm... I guess I'm just an old "cheap and rugged" kind of watch guy.

found this on yahoo's news page:
"Has sex returned to Times Square? An advertising billboard seems to suggest so. A Swatch watch ad at Broadway and West 45th Street features a larger-than-life close-up of the "Bunnysutra""
that's a busy bunny..

Yep. I'm down to two devices that I have with me always that tell time, but a separate device to tell time at this point is strictly jewelry.
(Which is a shame, because I've got some rather nice Fossil Watchs from my days at Pixar that are collecting dust until the eBay possibilities become really attractive.)

Yea.. it's cute, and thay have gotten LOTS of free publicity over it, which is probably it's only real purpose in life. But does Swatch actually make decent watches? - Personally, I have not worn a watch in years. My cell phone keeps
great time (synced from network).. and if I don't have my phone with me, I do not care what time it is either! I think watches have become redundant pseudo-functional fashion accessories for most people.

Excellent. That may just be enough to get me wearing a watch again. Now, if I can just find a cutesy (yet male - as in XXL and not flimsy/lacey) bathrobe and umbrella...
